A forest not too far from Konoha. It is used for the Chunnin Exams but some people go in there secretly to train.
It has a wide variety of dangerous animals and the battle ground in the 3rd part of the Chunnin exam is placed in the large building in the center of this forest.

Most of these people aren't very kind and the country as well has not been prospering very much.
